  • Help participants learn ceramics and facilitate art opportunities

  • Work with youth with neurodiversity/complex needs to foster meaningful relationships

  • Assist in organizing sales, events, and other initiatives

What do I gain from volunteering at A.WARE?

By volunteering with us, you get to build connections with other members of our community while developing your leadership skills at the same time. There are a lot of opportunities for you to gain experience and volunteer hours. Additionally, not only will you get to create works of art of your own, you will also be a part of an open and friendly community!

What are some things that you are looking for in volunteers?

We are looking for volunteers that are hardworking, passionate, and creative. 

Where does volunteering take place?

We work with various organizations throughout the lower mainland (in Burnaby, East Vancouver, and more). Please read through our current programs page for more information.

What opportunities are available?

Some opportunities that are available are: working with students with neurodiversity, working with senior citizens, assisting at events, receiving donations, etc.

What is the minimum age to volunteer?

As long as you’re a highschool student, we would love to have you on board!

Is there a certain time commitment / minimum number of hours?

Time commitments are specific to programs that you sign up to volunteer at. Expect to have a flexible schedule! All of our programs occur after school or on the weekends.

Do I need to be good at art or ceramics?

No! While experience in art and ceramics is recommended, it isn’t mandatory.
